Medical disclaimer

Last updated: [TODO: date of clinical and legal approval]

TYGR provides health education and access to licensed professionals. It does not replace in-person medical care. In an emergency, go to the nearest hospital.

Education, not diagnosis

Articles, courses, myth and fact cards and other content on TYGR are for general education. They are not a diagnosis and are not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who knows your history. Do not ignore professional advice or delay getting care because of something you read on TYGR.

Consultations

TYGR Clinic connects you with licensed specialists for remote consultations. Some conditions cannot be safely assessed remotely. Your specialist may advise an in-person examination, test or hospital visit, and you should follow that advice.

Fitness coaches on TYGR give fitness guidance only. They are not medical professionals and are always labelled non-clinical.

The Streak

Posts in The Streak share personal experience, not medical advice. Replies marked Expert answer come from verified specialists, but they are general answers, not a consultation about your situation.

Supplements

Products on TYGR Market are registered with NAFDAC, which is a regulatory requirement, not a promise of results. Supplements are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Some supplements interact with medicines or are unsuitable during pregnancy or with certain conditions. Talk to a doctor or pharmacist before you start a new supplement.

Emergencies

TYGR is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in danger, or you are thinking about harming yourself, call 112 or go to the nearest hospital now. More support options are on our safety page.

Accuracy

We work to keep content accurate and up to date, and health articles are reviewed by clinicians before full publication. Medical knowledge changes, so content may not always reflect the latest evidence. If you think something is wrong, tell us.
